Work Club Volunteer

Work clubs provide support, information, advice and guidance to people who are unemployed.

About the opportunity

We are looking for patient, friendly, approachable people to help welcome new people to the work club. Volunteers are required to assist advisers and training providers in the setting up and running of the weekly work clubs, helping to set up and assist in any administrative duties. They will help on reception welcoming customers, record customer information, keep the register, ensure people are seen in order of attendance, help people to join the library and help with refreshments. Volunteers will not need to be experts in CV writing, or give advice and guidance, but will support people with IT tasks, so some knowledge of IT and/or universal job match will be required.

The Work Club runs on a Thursday morning and are looking for volunteers to help out from 10am - 12pm.

If you enjoy working with people and would like to volunteer in a library setting, and want to make a real difference to people who are struggling to find work, we would love to hear from you.

  • Accepts ex/offenders
