About the opportunity
Our team help people from all walks of life to access volunteering opportunities, by providing face to face information and signposting to local projects.
We are currently seeking volunteers with excellent listening and communication skills to help potential volunteers find out about projects and activities which may interest them in their local area.
You'll support new volunteers in one-to-one appointments to access their volunteer profiles, search for suitable roles and explain how to get started with volunteering. Your role will include updating records on a computerised database and undertaking other office administration duties to ensure volunteers are informed of new opportunities.
Your knowledge and experience of volunteering and the wider community, open mindedness and willingness to listen will help you to encourage people to overcome barriers and find opportunities that are tailored to suit their needs. This flexible opportunity is ideal for anyone with an interest in supporting the local community.
We welcome applications from all people. Our venue has good access. If you have particular needs, please let us know and we will do our best to support you.
