Volunteers are an important part of daily life at the Hospice. We rely on a team of over 1,000 volunteers who give up their time to help us with a wide range of tasks.

The Volunteering Network provides support and a networking opportunity for Volunteer Involving Organisations (VIO's) who operate in the public, private or voluntary sectors.
The Network is an opportunity to come together to share good practice, get updates on changes to volunteering policies and learn about how to best recruit, manage and train your volunteers.

Enrych Connect is a new service for disabled people in Leicestershire that is helping people to access services and become better connected online and with different kinds of technology.
The project is looking for volunteers to help support disabled people across Leicestershire to access these services. You don't need to be a technical or IT expert to do this, just be willing to give things a try and to learn new things. You and the person you are orking with could learn together!
The Children and Family Wellbeing service launched in April 2019, our 0-19 service focusses on supporting the most vulnerable families in Leicestershire and Rutland and brings together four services into one; Children’s Centres, Supporting Leicestershire Families (SLF), Youth Offending Service (YOS) and Information, Support and Assessment teams and we have many volunteering roles within the new service.

Are you passionate about making a difference and want to support Leicester City and LeicesterShire Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise ( VCSE) organisations who are looking for new trustees to share their enthusiasm to help set their strategic direction and future vision.
Or are you a Voluntary and Community Sector organisation looking to engage new trustees to enhance the direction of your group VAL can help you to advertise and promote your roles to find the right people and support with your governance documents.
Does your organisation have a task that requires a group of volunteers to carry out?
VAL receives regular enquiries for group volunteering activities in the city and county. Please get in touch if you have a specific task that you would like additional enthusiastic support and willing hands to undertake. It could involve painting and decorating, clearing and planting a garden area, helping to run your service for a day, or supporting activities at local events. The more interesting the activity or challenge the better!

Shelter Housing Aid and Research Project was established in 1974 by Leicester Shelter Group. We provide much-needed advice, help and support for people who have been homeless or facing serious housing problems in the City of Leicester and Leicestershire. We have recently received National Lottery funding that allows continue our work.
Oxfam Leicester at 22 Market Street is relaunching on Thursday October 3rd 2019 at 10:00am after expanding the books and music department and retaining the bridal department on the first floor.

As Menphys heads towards celebrating fifty years of supporting disabled children, young people and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland in 2020, we are delighted to announce an agreement with Leicestershire County Council to take on the Bassett Centre in South Wigston.
The Centre will become the new Menphys Hub providing the charity with both a long-term home, a base for developing and growing services, along with enhancing the support it provides to disabled children, young people, and their families.
