In light of the recent outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) across various parts of the world and the recent UK Government’s announcement, Voluntary Action LeicesterShire is taking all possible steps to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, clients, service users and our local communities.
Health and safety is one of our top priorities and at the heart of every decision we make which is why we will run our activities and services differently.
We believe it’s critical to do our part to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Here are some of the steps we are taking to protect everyone in this ever-evolving situation. We are diligently following guidance and best practices from the NHS and UK Government, amongst others.
We are equally committed to taking care of our employees:
- We are providing resources to help employees modify how they work, including flexible schedules for caregivers and remote work wherever possible. .
- We have created forums to help employees stay connected and keep up-to-date with information to help them stay healthy.
While the environment around us is uncertain, we take comfort in the fact that we have a first class team who are caring and compassionate for the communities we serve.
We stand ready to work and hope that our websites, apps and social media channels can be a resource to get the support you need from us.
