The Loughborough Half Marathon & Team Relay
Sunday 29th March 2020 sees the return of The Loughborough half marathon and team relay. The 13.1mile course has been described as one of the toughest in the East Midlands. Available places are hotly contested, with only 800 up for grabs this year.
Organised by the Loughborough based charity Living Without Abuse, all the money raised from the event goes towards the charity’s vital and much needed work of supporting men, women and children who have had their lives shattered by domestic abuse.
The run is all on pavements, footpaths and pathways and is certainly tough but a fantastic course through some beautiful countryside with plenty of water and jelly baby stations on route.
Registration is now open and the entry fee for the half marathon is £26 for unaffiliated runners and £24 if you’re affiliated to a running club. There is also a Team Relay Challenge with four people per team with a total entry fee of £70.00 great for people who are doing the couch to 5k.
Only 800 places are available so register today to guarantee your place. All finishers receive a medal, goody bag, banana and water. There is also FREE parking on site.
New for this year we have introduced a 1 mile children’s fun run, the fun run will take place at 9.30am, straight after the start of the main race and will go around the grounds of Charnwood College. It is open to anyone aged 16 and under, under 7’s must run with an adult. Pre entry is £3 per child, entries on the day will be charged at £4.
