Thursday 21 January 2021
This will be a virtual event for volunteer involving organisations to promote their volunteering opportunities and for people interested in volunteering to virtually meet organisations to find out how they can get involved as volunteers in Leicester and Leicestershire.
We will have a selection of volunteer involving organisations on hand to speak to anyone interested in volunteering, but there will also be an opportunity to speak to VAL staff and volunteers about the wider range of opportunities available. One of the questions when you register to attend will ask you if you have an area of interest you might be interested in volunteering in, but we can speak to you about the range of volunteering that is available.
Volunteer involving organisations attending the event include:
- Leicestershire County Council Children & Family Wellbeing Service
- The Baldwin Trust
- Sound Café
- Pendragon Project
- Royal Voluntary Service
- The Carers Centre
- Canine Partners
- New Dawn New Day
- Richmond Fellowship
- Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Resilience Partnership
Due to Covid-19, a larger number of organisations have had to put their volunteer recruitment on hold, but we can also discuss potential roles that should become available again over the coming months as restrictions can be eased and services are able to reopen.
We look forward to meeting you.
