About the opportunity

Warehouse Volunteer/Driver’s Assistant

The Goods Depot Limited, the trading subsidiary for Charity-Link are looking for volunteers in our new warehouse.

If you like to keep active and are looking for variety in your day, volunteering in our warehouse could be what you’re looking for.

We always need helpful and active people to help keep our stock moving from the van to warehouse and from the warehouse back to the van for delivery!

o   Unloading new stock and locating in the workshop or warehouse

o   Picking the right goods from stock and booking them out

o   Loading and unloading vehicles

This role will keep you active but it’s not just moving washing machines, fridges, freezers and cookers.  When volunteering for us you can also get involved with checking and testing appliances for sale and booking goods in to stock. You will also be going out with a driver to help deliver and install the appliances which make such a difference to peoples’ everyday lives.

There are lots of benefits to volunteering, developing your existing skills, gaining new skills, as we offer training and of course supporting a cause you care about.

Whatever your reason for joining, you can expect to have lots of fun and meet some great people and gain some new skills too.
