About the opportunity
Volunteer Plus is a project supporting those in the community who have a passion for volunteering but need additional support to get started. Volunteer plus supports individuals with a variety of additional needs such as Physical needs, mental health needs, learning needs, cultural needs etc. on a 1-to-1 basis to find, prepare for and undertake voluntary opportunities within the community. We are looking for a Volunteer Plus Administrator to help us deliver this project. The role will consist of: - Supporting the Volunteer Plus Mentors - Logging Volunteer Plus Appointments - Maintaining databases containing referral information - Supporting VAL to monitor the success and outcomes of the project The Volunteer administrator role is required for around 2 hours a week or 8 hours a month to be worked flexibly at a time suited to the volunteer. While this project aims to offer a fantastic level of service to individuals wanting to volunteer, being involved in the project as a volunteer is also very rewarding. The Volunteer Plus Administrator will have the opportunity to: - Make a positive impact on people's lives through supporting the project - Take ownership of data and processes - Work with a variety of other volunteers and VAL Staff - Gain a deeper understanding of the voluntary sector in Leicester - Gain transferable administration and data skills - Undertake role specific training and training around wider areas such as mentoring and safeguarding - Receive 1-to-1 support, guidance and supervision from your allocated VAL line manager - Gain valuable skills and experiences that can be showcased in CV�۪s, applications and interviews.
