About the opportunity
The Soulful Group is an emerging social enterprise that aims for genuine human connectivity through poetry, spoken word, and storytelling. We are Leicester-based, but with an international footprint, and aspire to be completely volunteer-run.
Currently, an organic, gentle evolution has led the Soulful Group to forming an international publishing house. We value and respect our writers for the honest work they create and courageously choose to share, with the writers receiving half of all proceeds. The poetic volumes published are varied in their styles, but all are heartfelt and soul-deepening in their message and their style.
In addition to recognising the power of the written word, spoken word has become an important part of our identity, with complementary events being held to create safe spaces for love to flood in. Everyone is welcome, to speak, or to listen - something that perhaps reflects our ethos at its most simple - a movement for openness and a hope for ‘soulful’ connection. We need your help and in return you get to be part of ambitious new publishing house and its umbrella social movement.
